Kathy Hilton accused of planting negative stories about Lisa Rinna

Kathy Hilton, 63, has been accused of shelling out thousands to plant negative stories about co-star Lisa Rinna, 58, in order to deflect from her alleged gay-slur scandal in a now-deleted social media post.

A marketing manager named Patrick Somrs posted a lengthy note Thursday about how he was recently hired for more than $27K to ‘draw attention away’ from his client by pushing false stories about Lisa Rinna in the media.

Somrs did not specifically name his client due to an NDA but online speculation suggests that it was Kathy Hilton. Lisa Rinna shared his post on her Instagram feed but later deleted it.

In the post, Somrs (who said he had never met Lisa Rinna) described being hired to execute a campaign to plant negative stories about a celebrities in order to distract fans from his client.

‘My latest marketing campaign was to draw attention away from my client.. That’s exactly what I did. All narratives associated with my latest campaign are false. I was compensated $27,527.72 for my work,’ he wrote.

His ‘false’ narratives were reportedly all untrue negative stories about Lisa Rinna who re-posted his statement with the caption: ‘This statement just released by Patrick Somrs’

Her RHOBH co-star Erika Jayne popped up in the comments with a clinking champagne glasses emoji.

Neither Rinna nor Somrs mentioned Hilton in either post but, according to, Kathy was the purported client who hired the marketing exec.

Lisa’s post didn’t stay live on Instagram for long and by Friday morning it had already been deleted.

Internet sleuths claim that the reason Somrs was hired was to create a diversion for Housewives fans from the rumor that Kathy Hilton called Sutton Stracke’s assistant a homophobic slur while in Aspen.

Sutton herself shut down that rumor earlier this month, however, during an Instagram exchange when someone asked if Kathy really used ‘a slur when talking about your assistant?’

Succinctly, Stracke
